Position Location: Paragould, Arkansas
Position Type: Associate Veterinarian
Associate DVM
For over 45 years, Veterinary Healthcare Clinic has served a longstanding clientele within the greater Paragould-Jonesboro community. As we continue to grow, we are now positioned to welcome an Associate Veterinarian and round out our 3-DVM team. Many of our patients are small animals, but we are happy to see large animals too (currently 10% of our caseload). Please note however, large animal interest is not necessary, only a plus!
We are proud of our modern, freestanding facility – newly built in 2007 with over 5,000 square feet. Though we are located less than 30 minutes from Jonesboro, Arkansas, we also pride ourselves on our small-town friendliness. We offer a wide range of services including soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, urgent care, and preventive/wellness exams. To assist in providing the best care possible, we utilize a variety of tools and equipment including ultrasound, digital radiography, in-house Idexx lab (ProCyte, Catalyst DX, SnapPro, and Sedivue), Tonopen, and a fully stocked pharmacy.
For those interested in large animals, we see equine, bovine, swine, and some porcine patients. Services range from routine health certificates and wellness care to Coggins testing and the occasional radiograph/ultrasound. Farm calls are scheduled three afternoons each week.
Our ideal candidate would be ready to join a fast-paced environment! With two tenured clinicians and nearly 60 years of combined experience, we are excited to offer mentorship and support. We would also welcome a seasoned veterinarian and any niche interests. Small animal medicine is the focus, but large animal interests are welcomed! Our goal is to continue operating in a positive working atmosphere with wholesome values.
For well-qualified candidates, we are excited to offer:
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience (salary/ProSal negotiable)
Signing bonus and/or relocation assistance, up to $15,000
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Short-term disability and life insurance
401(k) eligibility with employer match
Paid time-off for personal use and to attend continuing education
Annual continuing education allowance
Coverage in our AVMA PLIT policy
Reimbursement of all licensure and DEA fees
Reimbursement of professional membership dues
